I was on it too recently. It was a 5 day pack where you start out taking more and end taking 1 before bed. I wouldn't say I was hungry as much as I just craved, thought about, and wanted food food food!!

I did the best I could to eat something like sugarfree Jello and pudding but I'm not going to lie, I had my hand in the frito bag more than I care to admit!

I felt out of control the first few days but then I fought it like a crazy woman. I drank a lot of Water with the flavor add ins. I did gulp down the jello and ordered my son to get rid of or hide the chips.

I have not had a craving problem like this since the surgery. It was horrible!

I finished the prescripton 2 days ago and I feel a little more in control.....even though the medicine is still in my system for a while I feel it is getting more manageable.

Good luck. I don't have solution but I can definitely relate to you. Hang in there, it gets better.

I hate predisone. So much.

Prednisone. I hit reply too fast! I get bad bronchitis, and sometimes pneumonia. I get prednisone once a year, at least. Sometimes I just don't take it, it really depends on the severity of my illness.

I have pred as a back up when Im flaring bad with lupus or fibro pain is out of control but its been 5 months since Iv need it. when I did take it def watched salt intake, it messes with insulin an its a roller coaster. have to make a mindful effort to hide everything an I dont buy the junk to bring in house! I even put the hubs on restrictions..lol..if he had to have ice cream in the house (of course) it is weight watchers. an I keep raw pecans, carbmaster yogurt (kroger) there less then 4 carbs per cup, small apples, cheese stix, always easy to grab protein...I have a love hate relationship with pred..I dont want to use it so I avoid as much as possible but I know some dont have a choice so just watch what you bring in the house I uess is bottom line! :)

I just finished a 5 day pred pack (NO TAPER!!) for laryngitis that I've been suffering with for 3 weeks with no explanation. I didn't get hungry so much as I was craving random things lol I tried to just distract myself than to give in, which is so hard to be honest. I finished like 4 days ago and have been dealing with insane fatigue. all I wanna do is sleep. but I suggest that you definitely drink some extra water to flush the bloat. that was the worst part of it in my opinion
