What am I doing wrong?

It's been 3 weeks since surgery and I've only had a total loss of 15lbs. What's strange about it all is that I lose 1-2 lbs one day and the next I gain it back. I can't get past 220, any suggestions?

We've all been where you are. Weight loss is notoriously inconsistent at the beginning. Your body is adjusting to a major event. You just have to follow your program and be patient. The weight loss will come.

What you are doing wrong is having too high of expectations. I did it too, I think most of us did. 15lbs in 3 weeks is pretty good. Your body is adjusting. Just relax and soon you'll start seeing fairly steady weight loss.

Search these forums for "week 3 stall" and you can read through the hundreds of other posts exactly like this one.

That's like 5 pounds a week - the average is 1-3 a week so you are fine. Your body is just catching up - then you will start seeing the scale move again but don't be surprised if it's 1-3 pounds a week

It's been almost 4 weeks for me with a 15 pound weight loss. I've decided that I am done looking at that scale. Just continuing to stick to the plan. It will come off eventually. I had lost a lot of weight in the 7 months prior to surgery. So, I think that might have something to do with it as well.
