  1. Watch the sugar in the drink mixes too.
  2. Thanks Stevehud. I'll still follow my dr's recommendarions and be on the safe side. I guess whatever works is best. Not a one size fits all. I'm more concerned with health than weight anyway.
  3. Be careful. Your body can only absorb 20g per hour. If you drink one shake fast you'll either have pain, throw up, or not get all your protein for the day. I think 3 small 20g shakes are easier than 1 big one for three or 4 hours straight!
  4. For the first few weeks you need the protein to heal. I never get enough but just get as much as i can. The syntax nectars are easier for me to get down.
  5. We all wish it were that easy, but your body can only absorb 20g per hour, and there's no way you can drink all that quickly anyway. I'm 4 weeks out and it still takes me 2 hours to drink 1 drink whichever protein i use. So id say better to space out a few smaller ones. Good luck!
  6. I'm in 4th week and have this problem. Nothing tastes like it should. Just a few thinks taste good. Not sure how long this will last but heard it IS temporary. I sure hope so!
  7. I'm 4 weeks tomorrow and down 23 lbs. Did not have 3 week stall but I'm sure it'll catch up with me. Lol.
  8. Ask your NUT. Mine said whey protein is processed better for post op . But I compared whey and soy proteins.
  9. I'm 4 weeks out and still have pain on left side. Saw Dr this week and he said it's normal, muscles and incisions still healing.
  10. First few weeks are more about healing than weight loss. It will happen.
  11. I am 4 weeks out. Crazy bed pizza too first thing I ate on pureed was a low fat mazzerella and Marinara sauce 1 egg omelet. It helped curb those cravings even though I could only eat half of it.
  12. Monroe Twp! Hi everybody!
  13. Thanks everyone. Thought it was me! My incision starting to feel better but i guess the inside is gonna take awhile.
  14. Thanks @fit4life123. I'm seeing mine Thursday.
  15. Hi. I'm 3 weeks out today and still have some abdominal pain when trying to bend, or sleeping on either side and also incision pain. Is this normal?
  16. Yep! Happened first time yesterday. I'm on day 19 and ate creamed spinach at Boston Market. Bad decision. Vomited once with food and second time foam. Very painful. Not trying that again. Must be too much fat in there.
  17. Ground turkey works too.
  18. I'm 2 weeks post op and also way sick of shakes. Syntax nectar fuzzy naval and grape, are ok but the iced tea is very very lemony. Also about to try 2 other non flavored ones but so far unjury has a flavor and it's not good. The soup is good but my dr said too salty. Glad to have pureed but no room after shakes. The only one I enjoy is unjury chocolate splendor with peanut butter, skim milk and ice. But too sweet for breakfast.
  19. I just crushed my pill in a spoonful of water and dealt with the nasty taste.
  20. Taking stool softener but wasn't soft when it finally happened today. Thank God it wasn't that painful either. I am truly blessed. Lol !
  21. I got sleeve 1/26 and am dreading that moment. Haven't done anything but pee so far....
  22. I am already at a hotel near my hospital. Surgery tomorrow. I'm staying til Wednesday so the worst will be over before I am going home. Thank God the new credit card arrived in time. Lol.
