What Calcium Do You Take?

So I saw my NUT for my first consultatation pre-op yesterday and she wants me to take 500 mg calcium with 1000 D3 chewable, liquid or powdered. I'm not going to buy pills now when tbey estimate my surgery to be in 6 weeks. I looked at Sam's , Walmart and Walgreens and all the chewable Calcium are pure sugar. What do you guys buy?

Viactive chocolate chews, 2 per day, but you can't take them at the same time because your body can't process it all at once, so one after breakfast and one in the afternoon when I'm craving a little

  • I use liquid calcium, Wellesse brand. I buy mine from Amazon. I can't handle the giant horse pills that you need to swallow for calcium tablets, and the chewables were all higher in calories and carbs

I meant to say she wants me to take this 3 times a day!

Viactive chocolate chews, 2 per day, but you can't take them at the same time because your body can't process it all at once, so one after breakfast and one in the afternoon when I'm craving a little tiny something chocolate anyway.

I use liquid calcium, Wellesse brand. I buy mine from Amazon. I can't handle the giant horse pills that you need to swallow for calcium tablets, and the chewables were all higher in calories and carbs than the Wellesse liquid calcium (higher price, too).

I take the Bariatric Advantage calcium citrate chewy bites. I take 2 chews 3 times a day. I love the caramel ones. The taste is right on and it feels like I am having candy. I have tried the caramel, chocolate, raspberry, and lemon flavors. The fruit flavors remind me of starburst candy. The chocolate flavor is ok, but just a weird kind of flavor. I keep the caramel ones on my nightstand and the lemon & raspberry are in my candy dish in the kitchen so I can grab them when I see them. I hope you find something that works for you.
