I had my gastric bypass surgery on 02/12 and I stayed overnight at the hospital (Emory at John's Creek, GA). The procedure took about 2 hours, then I was in recovery, then eventually taken to my room.

Yes you will carrits! Mine gave us a handout with it all spelled out (even had pictures of most products they recommend) for pre and post op. We also got to try some of the supplements they offer to help us pick out flavors of certain things. It will answer a lot of your questions.

Me too - hard to focus on anything else! Learning how to make great protein filled smoothies too ... Not bad! 2 weeks to go ????

Hi y'all! I posted earlier (Feb 17th surgery!!!). Is there anyone here from the UK and if so, have you been given advice on Protein shake brands in the UK and supplements? Want to get well stocked!

I wonder if our taste buds will change after surgery- genuinely hope I get Dumping as my sweet tooth is my enemy!

When in doubt, turn to this tiny potato!

So far a handful of mixed greens, 1.5 cups frozen berries, 1.5 cups almond milk, 2 scoops protein powder & some chia seeds .... Sooo good!

Is this a preop smoothie or postop, my doc said no added extras to mine preop, and I'm officially on day 1 of the preop diet. He uses the KetogenX diet.
