    15th! So anxious!

I'm January 27 and I am just ready for it to already be over. All I do is think about food, whether it's eating it or not eating it.

  • I am scheduled for 01/29/2015 too, so excited and nervous at the same time.

I'm on the 26th too

Taking pre-op diet one day at a time, but is going well!

Jersey here

January 27th

Excited and Nervous

Liquid Diet starts today

My surgery is the same day in NJ! Monmouth Medical Center. Good luck to you!

Mostly whey protein and broth but sometimes sugar free ice pops and jello..... No fun but I am down 8 lbs

Day 3-6 are the absolute hardest. Then it gets pretty easy and no longer are just dying for your favorite food. I don't think having a pickle, or peppers is bad. Even some cheese. Instead of a 3rd shake

I'm not allowed any solid foods ????

Me neither. But I'm at the required weight loss for the preop and still have several days to go. What's wrong with subbing cheese for a protein shake

I didn't need to loose any weight pre op I'm just happy with the results from pre op diet challenge. My doctor said no solids liquid is to prepare for after, help liver and stomach adjust for procedure. Ask ur surgeon they are all different but I'm not taken any chances that could complicate my procedure.

Just finished my 6th day of the diet and feeling surprisingly good. Soup is really helping. Today I'm under 600 cals and I'm not hungry, but I am sleeping a lot more. Down 10 lbs!

@prettywingz: whey protein shakes (30grams protein each) for breakfast and lunch then low fat, lean protein 600 calorie dinner. Drinking at least 64 oz of water...1-2 oz every 15 minutes. Surgeons will differ on what your pre-op allows, so check with them to make sure. You can do it!! Good luck!!

Is anyone allowed to mix protein shakes on pre options diet with unsweetened almond or skim milk? Bariactric advantage taste horrible with just water.

I have been mixing whey protein and soy milk but I stopped today is my third day on my liquid diet I have the surgery on the 26th but I am not allowed to have solids I see some ppl can but my bmi is 54.6
