Heading back to ER again, prayers please

Been so sick 3 weeks post op. Can't get fluids down. Woken up vomiting bile, brown mucus and blood thus morning. Vomited yesterday too but not blood. I just want them to find out what's wrong with me. Was sleeved nov 6th. Was doing OK a week or 2 out and started getting sick 6 days ago. Went to ER this past Monday. But they have me some fluids and a cat scan and blood work and didn't find anything except some esophageal swelling. They should have done an EGD. Going to an different ER. Been on straight gatorade for 4 days and getting worse. I should have went in yesterday but didn't want to ruin thanksgiving. Appreciate the prayers. I just want to get well.

Ok saw my actual surgeon for first time and I am scheduled for EGD tomorrow. So we will see. I'm tolerating fluids a lot better today. So antibiotics and other meds must be working as they are treating that h pylori

I signed in to specifically check on you. I read your post last night but didn't have time to respond. I am so, so sorry to hear you are going through this. I, too,was diagnosed with H. pylori prior to surgery and treated for three weeks with antibiotics, I had no symptoms.

Hopefully, from this day forward things only get better. You will be in my prayers.

My surgeon required endoscopy with H Pylori test before I could get approved for surgery. Sorry you are having to go through this now.

I am so sorry you have to go through this. Well wishes for a speedy recovery for you and your wife. Keep us posted.

Prayers sent your way. Get well soon and keep us posted.

Gah! I'm in Tampa, too. Keep us posted!

Hope you and your wife are doing well!!

I'm praying for your healing. I am so glad now that my insurance didn't pay for my surgery and thus I went to Texas to Dr. Nicholson. Tampa General Bariatric Center is a joke. After reading this thread, I remembered that when I met with the surgeon that the walls were so thin that my husband and I could hear every single word of the patient in the next room, which of course is a privacy issue, when I mentioned it to the nurse she said that they were having the walls "redone" because the contractor cut corners to save money. Well it was newly finished! They took my deposit, didn't check my insurance, stiffed me... the staff was horrible, particularly the administration staff. Sorry to be "off topic" slightly, but I feel like the Lord saved me from going to this place. Sounds like they don't have their act together. I hope you and your wife are okay....

so did mine. It was all a part of the 9 pre surgery test I had to do before my case was even submitted to insurance company.

hope things look better for you today. hang in there. you need to be better to help your wife after her surgery....

I had somthing similar, I was hospitalized for 2 days had my sleeve done in Mexico, Its pretty common be careful of the gatorade the sugar in it made me sick. Also start slow I tried egg drop Soup once relased and lots of rest with walking 20 min a day and im back at work this week be easy and my doctor recommended gavaston and protonix gavaston helped the swelling. I also slept with a heating pad on my stomach hope you are feeling better

Ok update. My wife's surgery went well and is resting. I'm not doing the best either. EGD showed a hernia in my esophagus. Anyone know what they do for that? I got a fever today and am very weak. After 40 oz of fluids yesterday only 3 today. I'm on oxygen for shortness of breath.even sitting up or going to restroom makes me almost collapse from exertion. Yesterday I took long walks. Even this morning. This is all post EGD

Gosh I feel like it cant get any worse for you.. One thing after another, but just think you will recover and just look back at all this an realize you can handle anything after this. Get well Soon

So sorry to hear you are having problems. Thoughts and prayers are with you!
