Im 10 days post op now and I am TIRED of broth, yogurt, and shakes! What else is there to try? Can I have Crystal Light already?

Wow, I was allowed crystal light, sf jello, sf poscicles, iced tea sweetened with splenda, low fat strained creamed soups during my first two weeks post op. But that is my programs guidelines. I completely understand your boredom...I was going crazy on what I was allowed by 10 days out too. How bout making a call to your dietician and asking what they recommend? Be sure to specifically mention Crystal Light.

yes, call and ask. i don't know why you wouldn't be allowed crystal light right away.

I was going absolutely crazy too... And right around 10 days. I started eating bananas with different flavors of sugar free pudding. That helped me a lot. It may not be the best solution but it gave me something different to eat. And I felt that the banana was soft enough to not be an issue on my stomach.

Those first two weeks are awful, I know... But you'll get through it!

I'm right there with you...I'm so over my diet too. I bought a case of Chicken broth yesterday, but it was disgusting!! My mom looked at the packaging and said it was 100% fat free, so maybe that was why?? I don't mind the sugar free jello and popsicles, but these broths are gettin on my nerves LOL

@Crystal88 can you do things like put soy sauce or some other spices in your broth to make it tastier?
