Flax seed oil capsules

I love taking flax seed oil capsules for my extremely dry skin and scalp. Since being banded, I have not had great luck with getting that huge capsule down. Since its a gel cap, I cannot break it up, I tried blending it in a smoothe, that was disgusting . So here I am am, asking for your ideas??? Anyone?

How about trying after a hot cup of coffee or tea.

  • @@Kitt3000 perhaps you can try cooking with Flaxseed oil rather then taking the gel cap?

  • I use ground flax seed in my morning shake. I use a tablespoon a day. Not sure how that stacks up against using the oil?

I agree with cooking with flax seed oil, other good cooking oil alternatives could also be coconut oil and olive oil. Another thing to try is to just put flax seeds in with your morning protein smoothy and blend it up perhaps. You may have to stop taking or using the flax seed oil for a bit until your stomach can handle it better. I know there are a lot of good skin cream and shampoo alternatives to the pill to use temporarily.
