When will the sluggishness subside?

I was sleeved on 10/6, as of today, still so weak and nausea comes and goes. I'm following the post op instructions to a TEE! Any advise or comparable situations out there?

Give it a little more time. U jst had major surgery only ten days ago. As u start eating more u will get a little more energy.

I am also 9weeks out and i still have nausea....lol your stomach has to get use to food again. Use the dissolvable anti-nausea pills you were given after surgery. They should help.

Good luck

I had mines on 10/8/14 and I feel exactly the same way you do. My nutritionist says that's the first phase and the first month is always tough. I keep taking my nausea pill and still take small sips of liquids to digest. We will keep posted our journey. Best wishes.

Each person is different. I am sure that your team told you that it will take time to heal and feel better. It is your stomach that has been altered. And it is your stomach that causes the nausea. I had periods of nausea for over a year. I don't think that will happen to you. Take some Gravol when it is really bad. Be good to yourself while you are healing and know that it will get better, okay. :)

Any drug store sells Gravol for nausea. :)

I was sleeved on 10/6 as well. I don't have nausea as much as feeling bloated. I think I drink too much at one time. I'm a little worried that I've stretched my sleeve. I sincerely hope not. I struggle with sipping. Other than that my biggest issue is feeling absolutely exhausted. I really wish my doctor had mentioned that. I did not take LTD. I worked it out to work from home for 3 weeks post surgery. It has been a real struggle. I have a 2 hr nap at lunch everyday and I'm literally propping my head up to get to the end of the day. This week has really sucked because I had one employee on vacation, one sick all week and my boss off Wed - Fri so I had to be at least 3 people at any given moment. ARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!! I can bearly concentrate as it is!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
