  14. I only told my head nurse and supervisor. Then did all my paper work at HR office.

  23. After 3 weeks I did feel sluggish because my monthly bill came and I had heavy bleeding. I have slight anemia so it made it worse. My doctor told me to followup with GYN and to take a B12 for energy. I need some Popeye's spinach, lol.
  24. You look smokin' HOT, keep up the good work!
  25. Two years ago I wanted to do the gastric bypass and my surgery was cancelled because I was going to a cardiac arrest. Devasted and depressed I never went back to that surgeon. The cardiologist and phych doctor advised me not to do the surgery. None of them could explain to me what had happened in that OR room. I found a trusted surgeon else where and he was very attentive to my needs. He listened to my horrible story and we sat together and discussed all the procedures. He said the gastric sleeve is good for me because my diabetes wasn't out of control. Then he explained to me why the others wouldn't be good for me. Overall he was the best surgeon for me. I thank him so much! The key is to find a good doctor. I wish you the best in making the right decisions towards your health. Best wishes.
  26. Another thing I won't miss is asking for a seat belt extender from the airplane stewardess.
  27. My gold jewelry bracelet flung across the room while I was talking to my kid. She had to duck down when she saw my bracelet flying towards her, lol
  28. I had mines on 10/8/14 and I feel exactly the same way you do. My nutritionist says that's the first phase and the first month is always tough. I keep taking my nausea pill and still take small sips of liquids to digest. We will keep posted our journey. Best wishes.
  29. Me three! No more 4x scrubs to wear for work!
  30. I saw my nutritionist today and told her all my complaints and she said is normal for phase one to go through my mess. Well I told her about the protein shake and she said that's the reason for my diarrea because I wasn't suppose to start that yet. She said after 14 days I can start protein shakes on phase 2. Phase 3 will be puree soft foods. She said the reason for my heartburns is because I need to go a little slower on my liquid intakes. It should be 4oz every hour. She said my body needs at least 64oz per day. Well I'm still learning and the office gave me a welcome package with food samples for phase 2 & 3. They said they sell bariatric foods at the clinic but I decline because they were so pricey. I was scheduled to see my doctor on the 29. I can't wait to see him to thank him again.
  31. My stomach hurts all the time especially when I'm trying to sleep in the middle of the night. I feel better taking a pill for nausea that my doctor prescribed after the surgery with a warm cup of defcaff. black tea I felt a little better.
  32. I had to fill out a FMLA (Family Medical Leave of Absence) forms from the human resource office to be on sick leave. As soon as I got the surgery date I had to make a two week medical clearance appointment with my PCP. My doctor keep my forms and I told her to give me like 6 weeks until further notice. She filled out my forms in two days and I immediately told my department that I was going to be out for the next 6 weeks. Then a week later my job sent me a letter stating I was approved for medical leave and they set up an appointment for me at the employee's health office for clearance to be back on duty. In case you are wondering I work as a nursing assistant for a NYC hospital.
  33. I will not miss taking medications for my diabetes, asthma, cholersterol, HTN, and anemia. I want to be healthy again and finally be able to get on the rides with my daughter at the amusement parks. I use to feel bad when she refuses to get on a ride because I couldn't. Here's to a healthy year and new year.
