Caloric Intake

My roux en y was 9/17/14 so almost 4 weeks post op. I advanced to the "Healthy Weight for Life Diet Plan" this past Saturday (after full liquids, purée and mechanical soft) per my surgeon. I am able to get at least 6 glasses of water in a day and am averaging 70 to 80 grams of protein a day. I add unflavored protein powder to my water and drink one protein shake a day. My question is what about calories? I calculated my calories for the last 3 days: 335 to 542 a day. Is this enough? This diet stage doesn't state how much per serving ie 2 oz, 1/4 to 1/2 cup etc like the other 3 stages did. I am eating 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup fives times a day of protein and trying to get one fruit in a day. First week I lost 13 lbs, week 2 was 7 lbs and week 3 was 3 lbs. I am concerned I am not eating enough and it will hinder my weight loss. Any opinions? Recommendations?

Hi I am new here. Am four years out of post op lost 101 lbs. I have since gained 35 back. Help. How do I get back on track? Do I start all over? Liquid diet to solid. How many grams of protein should I be in taking?

I would start with your post-op diet routine and track all the you eat. My postop diet is 60 to 80 grams of protein, 30 grams of fats, and no more than 100 grams of carbs. Eating proteins first, then carbs and finally fats.

I agree with the above statements focus on your protein intake and water as well as walk as much as possible. The weight will come off you must remember that your body is adjusting to the new you as well congrats on your weight lost and listen to your doctor.
