Feeling Hungry - WHAT?

I'm so surprised - for the last 2 days I've actually felt hungry. I've gotten headaches from feeling like I need to eat. Protein shakes aren't cutting it. And after last week of feeling no hunger, I'm freaked out about feeling hungry. I'm only 10 days post op.

I thought hunger was curbed with RNY?! Can I possibly be some freak exception?!?

If I did this to myself, only to be the same as I was before, I'll lose my mind!

are you drinking 64oz of Water? thirst is often confused for hunger

I thought the same thing at the beginning. I was starving! But that has changed. I'm 7 months post-op and I really don't get hungry like that anymore. It will get better. Meantime, drink lot's of water, focus on protein, eat small bites and chew a lot. Don't drink anything during your meals and wait 30 minutes before you drink anything. And don't take longer than 30 minutes to eat. After that time, the food is starting to leave the pouch and that leaves more room for more food.

Thank you for the 30 minute meal comment. I didnt know that. I have become a very slow eater. I will be mindful of my meal times

No problem. I also only just found that out! From this list of course!
