  1. seems like the third week plateau is common, I've read about others experiencing this and I myself have not lost anything the last four days of my third week
  2. had surgery on 7/23, back to work on 8/11, not much pain at all, lot of nausea and gas, can't stomach protein shakes, and almost everything tastes disgusting, I am not getting enough protein but am working on it every day, I've lost 17 lbs in three weeks
  3. I feel your pain. Nothing tastes good and Protein shakes make me gag. I am on soft foods now but I can't stomach them either.
  4. My case is like pjhoyt's. The first think people noticed was my face, then neck, then boobs and back. I am waiting to see the result on my belly! I want to see a waist.
  5. Dlcloggin please send me a copy as well. I would very much appreciate it. molinaleti@yahoo.com
  6. we are at the same stage, today I had a boiled egg for the first time but I threw up for lunch I had a tiny bit of sardine but could not tolerate the smell for dinner I was able to have chicken lunch meat although it feels like it is stuck in my throat overall today was painful, maybe my body is not ready for soft foods
  7. Dawnakers, I agree with CashNCamsMom. Call your nurse or see you doctor SOON.
  8. I can't imagine what all have been through or are going through. I can only hope that you have loved ones that support you and keep you company. From where I am, I send you positive thoughts and prayers.
  9. @itsmekarenlee-- at least now you know the cause and can treat it, nice that the boss is supportive. Hang in there. This too shall pass.
  10. itsmekarenlee-- I hope all works out with your husband, will keep you guys in my prayers
  11. Hello Lovebug. My RNY surgery was on July 23rd. I am learning right side along you too.
  12. Hi Spharticus, I am glad your surgery went well. How are you feeling post-op? Mine was on the 23rd.
  13. are you drinking 64oz of Water? thirst is often confused for hunger
  14. Pik, I am so sorry that you are going through so much. I will be sure to keep you in my prayers.
  15. To Linda and others who have suffered a loss: I can only hope that you have other loved ones who can comfort you, hold you, and listen to you. I find that connecting with nature and a higher power gets me through a day at a time....sometimes a few minutes at a time.
  16. I am six days out. I am worried I may cause any damage or stall healing but I have always been a side sleeper. I do add pillows for support.
  17. Woot, woot Misty! 11lbs. is awesome. Keep up the good work. I am feeling much better. I am able to walk about 20 minutes at very low speed and sleep is easier. No pain meds for two days now.
  18. Sounds like you are doing great. I am very happy for you Misty. I don't walk as much because I am in pain. I take meds about twice a day for it and last night I had this cough so I was sooooooo sore and achy today. On the bright side, I was able to get in more fluids. Oh, an I had my surgery two days BEFORE my birthday. : )
  19. Misty, how did you do with the Protein shakes? How much Water are you getting? I have found it hard to get in all my liquids but everyday it gets a bit better. I am worried because I am only getting about half the recommendation.
  20. Had mine on Wednesday the 23, best of luck to all of you. I am lucky to have so many people supporting me, otherwise I don't know if I would be doing as well as I am.
  21. I know how you feel, my surgery is on Wednesday. I am not worried about the surgery either but rather future complications. People in my group, the psychologist, the surgeon, and my friend have all given me the same advice--nobody knows the future, nobody knows what will happen 20 years or a day from now whether you are having surgery or not. Just stay positive and have faith. Let us know how it all goes. Best wishes!
  22. Sotabee, good to hear you are doing well, stay positive and motivated.
  23. Hope you are able to find support here.
  24. 15 grams of what? protein or sugar? if it is the sugar, there are ones that have much less than that. I use Premiere Protein which only has one gram of sugar per serving. It is also gluten free (I am). Have you discussed your condition with your doctor?
