Anybody have to have their gallbladder removed after surgery? If so, did you lose more weight after removal? Gain?

I am required to take a medication (for 6 months post-op) to prevent gallstone formation, which would eventually lead to needing a choley.

Good question, I have to go in for an ultrasound on my gallbladder, I've been getting horrible pains.

So no answer but I'm interested to see others responses :-)

I was sleeved 5/30 and on 6/21 they removed my gallbladder. I went to my doctor on 6/17 bc I was dehydrated, constant nausea and dry heaving, he admitted me into hospital... After many X-rays, blood work, ultrasound - I had pancretits and sludge in my gallbladder so they removed my gallbladder. I lost ten pounds while I was in the hospital and I continue to lose even though I'm not exercising.
