For the Ladies

Has anyone not had a period since sleeve surgery? I am 4 months out and I am not pregnant.

I got mine 12 days out... it was horrible. The moods were worse than usual and I was really hungry and weak. It's clear that it messes with hormones one way or another.

  • My friend said she hasn't had one since her surgery six months ago. Mine came right as expected.

If it doesn't show up, check with you endo. Sometimes Type I diabetics go into early menopause. (Seriously...we get all the luck!)

Mine was irregular before surgery, due to my weight. I had my period about a week before surgery and then not again for about 2 months, but it's been right on time ever since.

I had mine the day after surgery and this month is came right on time! No fun..

I love the Mirena. No periods.

I got my period the day of surgery and it lasted three months...pure hell. Now its somewhat regular as being every other week. My SUPER irregular periods are caused from way to many hormones racing through my body (what joy). Waiting to hit my insurance deductible to switch from the implanon to the Mirena

Lucky Me I was lucky enough to be on my cycle in 2005 the day of Lapband and also in 2014 the day of Lapband revision to Sleeve :( My cycles since surgery 2014 have been really weird I have a cycle for ONE DAY.

I'm on BCPs and mine came out of the blue the other morning (I was not on the period phase). I hope this is not how things will be from now on. It clearly doesn't seem to be working. I'll give it a month and then seen what I need to do for this.
