I started out at 250# on surgery day, March 7, 2014. The procedure went great with very little post-op pain. The next day, I started coughing up yucky green gunk, then the fever came. After a trip to the E.R, and a diagnosis of pneumonia, I was down for about 2 weeks. During the first 2 weeks post-op I lost 14#. After starting on solid food, the weight loss stopped. NOTHING. I was worried that I was doing something wrong. I was just looking forward to my first fill to get losing again. I know I need to walk more, and I am joining the gym to help with that. No excuses of bad weather, too late, too early, too cold, too hot.
I was scheduled for my first fill today and was really nervous, not knowing what to expect. My provider was GREAT. She assured me that my weight loss was normal and that everything is going according to plan. The fill went great. I have a 10cc band and 5cc was placed during surgery. My provider added 0.5cc today and scheduled me for another appointment in 2 weeks. I hardly felt the needle at all. Now I need to get moving more, and stop getting so hungry that I take too big of bites, don't chew long enough and don't remember to wait between bites. We'll see how it goes...
Me, the day after surgery????
