What do i do?!?

So I'm scheduled surgery on Monday 4/7 and now that I've read some seriously horrible stories on here, I'm considering canceling my surgery! I was already scared and now I'm petrified! I want to do this for a better quality of life not to be sick or die!!! I don't know what to do now...I'm so confused and afraid to make the wrong decision!

There is a greater risk of dying pulling out of your drive way than dying from this surgery. Don't be scared. This is nothing compared to heart surgery or any of the many surgeries you may have to get

  • I had the surgery to keep from dying of the complications from being 100 pounds overweight, which already caused one stroke. For all the issues you read about on the forum, you will hear stories like

I am 8 days out and doing great. One or two stories about a bad experience does not outweigh the hundreds of thousands of positive stories. I would not change my decision for anything. Your going to

I don't know. My surgery was great! I had some minor things that happened, like nausea from the dye that you have to drink, and from another medication that I had to drink, but that was all. I had a private room, with a great medical team that knew their stuff, and some great Nurses. No major pain after surgery only tenderness around the large incision and adjustment to the liquid diet. Let's see, lost 21 lbs in 12 days and can tell that my clothes are getting looser. Everyone is different, but you didn't go through the pre-process for nothing. Sometimes you just need to have a little faith! Good Luck!

Thank you!! All of these positive stories are helping me!!

I guess we are all scared, worried, doubtful but what's the alternative? No seriously ask yourself what's the alternative.

If the wobbles are too much at this time then you can wait it's that easy and if the butterflies disappear then you know your answer but If you feel worse then you still know your answer.

I'm 4 days out and may have a few wobbles but my butterflies are worse when I think of not doing it.

There are so many great stories and really nice people on this site so perhaps take some inspiration from them.

Good luck and best wishes whatever your decision.
