Hair extensions

After losing 50 lbs since the first visit to my doctor's office, I feel like I should reward myself with hair extensions. Has anyone had them done within the first 3-6 months of being sleeved? I am in south Florida so the prices for extensions are high (I think?). What are the prices near you? I am getting 16 inches, 6 bundles, Great Lengths, 2 colors, with a 'complimentary' cut and style and shipping for $1,450. I am opening a restaurant in 1 month so I want to feel the best about myself as I can.

I am concerned about hair loss, has your hair gotten real thin? That price is a little high but I'm in WV, but I'm sure it will look wonderful, especially two colors.

Since being sleeved in Dec 2013, I have recently noticed much more hair torn out on my hair ties since I wear my hair in a pony tail every day. I have not yet noticed excessive hair loss after a shower, etc. I have very thick hair so I'm not really worried about the hair loss. The extensions are mostly for me to feel more attractive since I had extremely long hair before I became depressed and cut it to my chin a year ago...

The problem with getting extensions while you're in the "hair fall out" phase is that most extensions are attached to other strands or small bundles of strands, and if those strands or tiny bundles fall out, so will the extensions you just paid a lot of money for.

As a hairstylist, I'd suggest waiting until you're out of the "hair fall out" phase to spend any kind of money on extensions.
