Back pains

I am down 55lbs currently experiencing back problems. My upper part of my back hurts that I must lay down to soothe the pain. When I was overweight i hardly ever had these problem n now I pretty much experience it almost everyday. Has anyone had problems like this after surgery?

Hi, yes i get exactly the same I understand this is due to significant weight loss and realigning your posture. Mine is a lot better now I'm almost 90lbs down and I know my posture has changed quite a bit.

Oh ok UK-Molly that makes sense. I do notice my husband always telling me to stop hunching my back n to stand straight....lol so that might be my problem posture. Do u think I should wear a girdle to help with my posture?

If the back pain is happening soon after eating it can be because you are eating too fast. This is a common problem for RNY patients I am told. Try really slowing down when you eat and see if that helps.

If it's a burning pain in the center it can be an ulcer. Tell your doc
