Great Little Packaged Lunch!

  • Popular Post

I had to share. Oscar Mayer P3 Portable Protein Pack. It's a small serving of meat, cheese and nuts, packaged kind of like a Lunchable. Perfect size, 13 grams of protein. FYI - Target's cartwheel app has a coupon for 50% off, combined with a manufacturers coupon that's stuck on the package makes these little treats about $.40/each! https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cartwheel-by-target/id659563061?mt=8

Plus save an additional 5% if you use your Target card.

Good lookin out ! I'm gonna stock up on these when I hit Target. I'm always struggling to find something to eat that's protein packed. And easy.

I'd be a little concerned about the nitrates and other non-fresh aspect of pre-packaged meals like that. But I guess if you are in a pinch it couldn't hurt every once and awhile.

Pre packaged lunch meat is filled with salt and other things. You would be better off buying boars head or something fresh then those already packaged. Just my opinion. What is the fat content on it?

P3 has 11g of fat (3g saturated, 0 trans), 420mg of sodium, 3g of carbs (1g is fiber), and as stated above 13g of Protein and 160 calories. http://www.shopwell.com/p3-portable-protein-pack-turkey-breast-colby-jack-cheese-almonds/lunch-kits/p/4470007202

The Hormel Rev wrap has 10g of fat (6g saturated), 950mg of sodium, 14g of carbs (1g of Fiber, 4g of sugars) and 18g of protein. https://www.hormel.com/Brands/HormelRevWraps.aspx

I just had a P3 for lunch...very good!

950 mg in sodium!!! Holy shnikies! I would blow up from that due to Water retention. The p3 seems like a better choice but I try and stay away from lunchmeat because of sodium.

Thank you for the info! I found these at Fry's yesterday with a manger markdown...i paid .89 was de-lish! :)
