I will feel normal again...right?

I am about 5 days post op and SO TIRED!!! I know this is mostly my fault since I came back to work yesterday. Im doing ok with my protien and water, but im just so tired. No energy at all. I might need to cut this week short so I can get more rest. How long til people start feeling human again?

It's funny you just posted this. I just posted a thread entitled, "THIS is how the first 4 weeks go..." It's a bit tongue in cheek, but it gives a pretty good idea of the progression I just experienced (I am one month out today).

And yes, you will feel really totally normal again. For me, it was 4 weeks and I'm guessing the average is 3-6 weeks.

It takes about 2-4 weeks before you have energy again, I was totally ok though. I had surgery on a Friday I was back in the swing of things on that Tuesday. I flew home that Monday and I was totally ok,

But I remember not being able to run around with the kids like I used to for about 2 weeks.

Hang in there. It gets way better!

Took me a good month after surgery to get past the exhaustion.

It took me about 5 weeks to feel like myself again...I was incredibly tired...NO Energy at all...Take it easy and listen to your body..I took two weeks off work...Hang in there...It will get better!
