Sick a lot!

I was banded 12/30/13 and have not had a great experience so far. I throw up everyday. I get nauseated a lot and have frequent stomach pain. Is this normal???

This is NOT normal. Please see your doctor soon and tell him/her these same things.

  • No, that is not normal. I was sick for a few days post-op but once that settled down, I haven't been sick at all since. Please call your surgeon and let them know what's going on.

Welcome to our Forum. No, this is not normal. Yes, please return to your batiatric clinic and get their help. In the meantime I would log/journal everything eaten and reactions & take that to them. Their nutritionist can becone involved to assist in that regard. Remember why you decided to get banded and search for answers to best use your band (tool) to become well/healthy & happy. Wishing you good luck! :)

Best wishes, I absolutely, agree, not normal, see your surgeon and nutritionst, ASAP. Karen

nausea can sometimes happen post op however they should have prescribed a anti-nausea medication for you. Call your Dr. today if possible. throwing up is never good with the band.
