Quick Question - Does milk count as a liquid?

I am supposed to be drinking 64 OZ of liquid plus the protein shake and eating. This is a lot of me. Does the milk in the shake count as a liquid towards the 64 oz goal?

Feb135 short answer - YES at least thats what my NUT told me liquid, is liquid, is liquid (probably don't count wine good luck kathy

  • Today, I am 2 weeks post-op. My guidelines say "Fat free or 1% milk can be included as part of your total fluid intake."

  • My nut says shake liquids do not count towards the fluid total, but if you had a glass of milk outside of the shake, it would count. That's just me, tho, others may be different.

Mine states yes. Caffinated tea and coffee do not count on my notes, nor alcohol of course. ;)

All liquids counted for me. Check with your NUT for the best advise for you.

For me no, it doesn't count. I have a goal for both protein shakes and fluid/water.

Yes for me, all liquid counts toward the liquid total
