Amazing girl.....just keep swimming and maybe and hopefully...2014 will be your year for great things!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just banded a week ago and already down 16 from the start of this journey. My problem is that I feel as though I can start eating and drinking like I did before. I know I can't have a fill for weeks. Has this happened to others?

Michpell, Congrats! and I love your profile pic!

Congrats!!!

your band hasn't been adjusted yet so it is wide open. you still have swelling just from the surgery. but don't eat like you did before. this is the time where you learn discipline and eat as if the band is filled. it is hard. i think you are still on liquids so drink as much as you want to feel satisfied. follow your doctors plan as to when you can graduate your diet. always follow your dr. orders. it really is important

Great feeling. I'm at the same exact place as of Sunday. 60 lbs down, 29.8 bmi. :D Even though the ticker doesn't accept my decimals.

Don't do it. I am on mushies and was stupid enough to eat a SPOONFUL of rice last night. I am three weeks out. I got stuck and it was so painful! I had to spit stuff that popped back up and it made me get a bit lightheaded. Definitely gross and awful.

I am post op 8 days I had a salad with grilled chicken on it. I ate it with no problem. Feeling discouraged that this will not work either! Ugh I have no self discipline. My first postop appointment is tomorrow. I wish the band was filled so I couldn't eat!

Keep up the great work!!!
