Bleeding

I am 5 days post op. I have been able to hold down liquids well. I only drink water and have eaten sugar free jello and sugar free Popsicles. I have gas and burp a lot, which i normal. But when I recently used the restroom there was blood. It only happened last night and this morning. I had my period like 2 weeks ago. Why is this happening? Is it normal?

I started bleeding at day 3 post op and I too had already had my period a couple weeks before. ~ Lucky me~ The Dr. said this happens a lot to women because of the hormone shifts. Mine lasted way longer than normal but there isn't anything to be concerned about.

I had some spotting after my surgery. I am post menopausal so it was quite a surprise. I also had another surgery 11 days after my sleeve so it may have been related to it.

Same thing happened to me. Period started during pre op and again 2 days after surgery.
