Two days post op

I'm still in the hospital feeling good. These gas pains are ridiculous and the meds they gave me mad me want to puke. The nauseous alone without the meds made me beg for meds. Overall it's slowly improving though. Any other October sleevers out there? Need someone to talk to

Day 2 the nausea was terrible and then day 5 has been the worst so far for me. Now I don't have either and tomorrow will make a week out post op. My stomach seems to prefer warm liquids.

I love the sugar free hot coco and light progressive cream soups.

How soon did you guys try to travel and go up the stairs? I really need to get out of my house I'm getting cabin fever

I was sleeved oct 8. Keep walking. The gas will start to subside. Best feeling. Also warm soups are the easiest for me. I have some pain but it is manageable. Was successful on day 4 getting 75 grams of protein in. Not easy.

Congrats to you all. Im sure its going to get better, hang in there, thanks for sharing and welcome agin to the new you.

I was also sleeved on 10/8. I have some discomfort when I take a breath. Has anyone experienced this before? I have nausea when I drink ANYTHING and I have to take zofran all day. I also have a nasty taste in my mouth and it smells horrible lol

I just got out of the hospital (sleeved 10/10) and when I was in I felt like I couldn't breathe at all. In fact, I still have some problems taking a deep breath. I think it's just the pain or maybe even the gas? Not sure.

Does anyone know how long the rumbling will last...it sounds like a thunderstorm is going on in my body all the time

3 Days post-op

I was eating a Popsicle and I thought I was eating it slow enough and now I feel like it's stuck. Any advise?

I was just sleeved yesterday morning... I had a pretty bad first day, pain was bad enough to want meds, but the meds made me want to puke. So had to take meds in order to take meds lol. Its a lot more bearable now though!

Hang in there! it gets better, I promise. Make sure you are up walking as much as you can!

I was sleeved on 10-9-13. I also had the issue with taking in a deep breath. I found that doing the incentive spirometer helped so much. Even though it was difficult the first few tries, as I kept doing it the pain went away. The lungs and intercostal muscles get very lazy after being under anesthesia and we have to "wake" them back up. Also while you are doing this, make sure your are sitting upright and not lounged in the recliner etc. Hope this helps.
