Hi. I am 12 days post op. I think in know which incision is my port because there are times I can feel it. My question/concern is this. There are times when it is soft and not swollen around the port then other times when it is. It is hard and swollen and tender? What could it be?

I still have the same problem. I was banded on October 4th. Usually 1/2 way through my work day I can tell it is getting irritated. I was told by my doctor that there is still fluid behind the port and it just takes time for the fluid to get absorbed into your body. He was not worried about it at all. I was told to put a little heat on the area which I did try and it does feel better after I do that. Good luck!
