Cherry- looks like you are gonna be sleeved first. I was just told I'm the last surgery of the day and he is doing 5. I'm not even in a room yet. Come on sedation!!! Won't be long now girl and you will be taking your first steps on the road to a better tomorrow!

Today is my first day of pre op liquid diet and I'm starving... My surgeon doesn't require it however I really want to shrink my liver a bit.

Best of luck! Every step you take is toward a healthier you! It is exciting! Take everything one step at a time and trust your medical team. You will do great.

Goodluck ladies. Sending prayers your way

Good luck everyone I look forward to hearing how great you are doing!

Waiting in the surgeons office -- final visit before surgery tomorrow. I can't believe how scared I am. Part of me just wants to run out the door, drive thru a fast food line and forget this whole thing. Frankly, if I hadn't done nine months of prep, starved for two weeks including Xmas on protein shakes alone, and done a bowel prep yesterday -- I might actually do it. I'm so frightened!

Kathryn it's ok to be nervous! I was just ready to get the show on the road! You will be glad you did this

Thank you Greenzies. I'm holding you to that! :-)

I had surgery on Thursday. It is frightening. I have had surgery before but forgot the process. My pain was minimal but you will be uncomfortable. I know I had second thoughts up to the time of surgery. Hang in there as I am sure both of us will be very happy about it soon.

Thank you kata! I hope you are feeling well.

Hi Kathryn, I was petrified. My surgery was Dec 19. I think my fear was all about the medical end - the surgery, etc. Thank God all went well, as I'm sure it will for you as well. You're prepared, and once you get past the surgery, it gets easier....like a huge sigh of relief. I had some pain (some people had none!), but the first three days seem to be the worst. Then you'll be home in your own bed and on your way! Good luck, breathe deep, and let us know how it goes!

Thank you! I'm looking forward to it being over for sure :-). Is the pain all but a memory now?

Yes it's all behind me and I went home without pain medication. Just a bit of pain moving to lie on my sides. I felt more nausea than pain but the nurses were great. I am better every day and the scale is going down pretty fast. :-)
