August 2, 201312 yr I love to drink everything ice cold, but since my surgery (gastric) it gives me light cramps in my pouch. Does anyone else have problems drinking cold beverages??
August 2, 201312 yr I haven't had surgery yet, but my surgeon doesn't allow ice for 6 months after surgery.
August 2, 201312 yr I had problems after surgery with cold temperatures that I used to love! I had to switch to hot tea for about a month. I am now over 4 months out and once again love my ice cold water! HW 229, SW 214, CW 160 RNY 3/14/13

August 6, 201312 yr I do only iced cold and im only 4 days out..so my doc said as tolerated but did say if i could tolerate cold it would help bring the internal swelling down....

August 7, 201312 yr I have to have everything ice cold or I cant drink it! Funny how all surgeons are different. I could have ice chips in the hospktal right after surgery! It helped tons!
