I'm down 25 lbs! Now...will I ever be able to eat real food again!!? I'm so sick of mashed potato, cream of wheat, LF cheese, baby food and oatmeal! Please send words of encouragement!!

Yes!... 25lbs. .is amazing. .I'm 5 mos post op and I can have salads..fish..chicken..1 tortilla. .whole wheat slice of bread...remember food is food right now your new stomach can only tolerate soft foods but its helping you keep well nourished. .be patient. .imagine trying to lose 25 lbs in 2 weeks eating what you are eating now without surgery...you will be fine! :)

Yeah I had my surgery last Thursday and I feel like puking every time I smell any sort of broth. Does anyone know if I can drink Ensure clear instead of broth? I know it is kinda high in sugar but I thought maybe it would be okay of I diluted it.

Have you tried Lipton chicken noodle Soup, I make it at about 250ml, then I strain it into another cup with a fine strainer, then once again back to my cup. So much better then just plain broth!! Actually tasted like my hospital "chicken broth" lol

pureed food was hard for me too. just keep the faith and know that it won't be too much longer before you get real food you got this!

Purée is just gross....gross gross gross. By trend I was back to mostly shakes cuz I was so sick of puréed crap. BUT IT DOES END!!!!! And then you can chew again!!!! First day on salad was HEAVEN!!!! :)

I'm not even on puréed yet! I have to be on "full liquids" for 4 weeks postop. Then I get to start puréed for 4 weeks. So...right now I'm thinking puréed anything is better than cream soups, cream of wheat, instant potatoes and baby food! Hahah! Looking forward to puréed fajitas :-) LOL!
