Peanut Butter Question

I was trying to increase the protein amount of my Unjury shake, so I added 2 tsp. of regular Skippy peanut butter. I've already gotten most of it down, but it's not agreeing with me. My guess is that the sugar and/or fat in the pb is causing the problem. I'm only 2 weeks out. Anyone have any insight?

You're probably right in that your pouch isn't ready for it yet. Are you on soft foods yet? I'd give it a couple more weeks and try again, maybe with Natural Skippy or one with less sugar.

has anyone tried peanut butter with cottage cheese or greek yogurt?

I did the same thing very shortly after post op. I've tried it a few times afterwards and I can tell u for me now I am unable to tolerate peanut butter. I've gotten so sick from it to where now I totally have a food aversion and the thought of putting it in my mouth gives me shivers. Totally diff than how I was pre op. I never met a food I didn't like pre op. I've developed a few things now and some real aversions.

Have you tried Pb2?? It is a powdered peanut butter found on the shelf by regular peanut butter. I add 1-2T to my chocolate protein powder and it tastes like Reese's.

I have tired pb with low fat greek plain yogurt is good

Sounds like I just need to stay away from Peanut Butter for the time being. It tasted so good when I licked the spoon. Bummer!

I have had the dried peanut butter, but it was years ago. May need to get another jar. Anyone know where to buy it other than online. Last time, I think I had to buy 6 jars and I'm not sure I want to do that.

I've never tried it with yogurt. Sounds interesting.

PB2 is awesome! All the flavor, none of the sugar and fat. Great product and a perfect way to get the flavor (and protein boost) you want without the things you don't want. If your local stores don't have it try a health food store or dietary supplement store. I'm sure you could even buy it online.
