Still Dizzy

I for the past few days get these waves of faint, lightheaded.. Dizziness. It's driving me insane, because I just don't feel right. All vitals are normal, blood pressure is around 99/61, blood sugars range between 82-104, heart rate ranges 77-89... Called my nurse they said possible dehydration.. I've uped fluids and been drinking vitamin water zero, propel zero and adding smart water. I can tell this isn't dehydration.. Any ideas? Anyone had this happen?

Have you been taking your vitamins?

How far post op are you? Have you gotten any blood work done?

I would call the doctor if it continues. Have them do blood test for your Vitamins. You can still be low on something even if you're taking them every day like you are suppose to.

If they won't help then call your family doctor. I've had to do that before. Explain to them what's going on. If all else fails go to the ER....they have to do something there.

It is just to rest and get water and protein down.. Im a month out and still wake up like that almost every single morning more then the other ones ..

8 weeks post op and been getting dizzy a lot since a few weeks post op. it's mostly when I stand up. Idk what it's from but I have a dr. Appt. on Mon.

We talked about this in support group last night. We was told that the body is losing weight so fast, hormones and chemicals are all over the place, and that changes the way blood/fluids reach the brain causing dizziness. They assures us it's normal. However, if you're fainting or so dizzy you fall to the ground; that could be something else worth looking into. Hope this helps.

Make sure they take your blood pressure lying down and then stand up and take it. Your blood pressure might be dropping pretty low when you stand which will cause dizzy spells. Just an FYI

I took myself to the ER yesterday ladies they ran every test possible, blood test, urine test, several different blood pressure test, blood sugar, heart rate.. EVERYTHIG came back perfect!! Urghh I hated to be disappointed but kinda wanted something to fix ya know. Well my surgeon told me that this phenomenon happens to random gastric patients (LUCKY ME) he says it passes over time but this is horrible I hope it passes soon
