Today I had the experience of having to park very close to another car. I thought "I'm never going to make it out of my car door". And yet, to my surprise, even though the door only opened A foot or so, I was able to slip out quite easily!

Well, i missed paul McCartney because I had a mini stroke BUT 75 lbs ago and 150 cholesterol points ago, it may have been a full blown stroke.. Sad about missing paul, but damn glad to be alive!

What???? Glad you r ok! That is super scary stuff. Take care of yourself! Hope the effects are minimal and you r back to normal soon my friend.

By way way, up until the stroke, I walked all over, even up tons of stairs. The five songs I did get to see were sublime!

After a multitude of tests, they found the events ( i had 2) were transient. Now on blood thinners and should be fine. Was scary, though....slurred speech, confusion, inabilty to speak. And I missed the shhow. My son stayed( i insisted) and he said the concert was awesome!

Even more glad I'm taking control of my weight now!

So glad u are ok. My mom and baby sister both have had life changing strokes. The word makes me tremble with fear.

Strokes can be scary thank god your ok and it was a small one just be careful and do what your dr tells you. Strokes can be scary you can have Mimi ones and not know it you have to watch all the signs for it

Yesterday while grocery shopping I saw an old friend from high school. Before I would usually duck and hide so they wouldn't see how much weight I had gained after high school. Yesterday I actually felt proud of myself and decided to say hi. It was so nice. We caught up for a few then I bumped into someone else!! It felt good not to be ashamed.

I am going to my 20th ha reunion tonight! Although I am still about 50 lbs heavier than I was in hs, I am still much more confident in this body than in one that weighed 86 lbs more just months ago. It really is such a great feeling, be proud girl!!

So glad you are ok! A friend of mine had a mini stroke right after here surgery.. She was down about 70lbs or so and her doctor said she probably wouldn't have been with us if she hasn't taken off all that weight prior to the stroke. Praise The Lord for his perfect timing (even with the bad stuff).
