Hi everyone! I don't post on here too often, but I check in from time to time. Today marks my 1 month post surgery. I am doing well. I am down 22 lbs since surgery and 57 lbs since January 1st. I went

I had 1/2 cup of creamed soup and a black tea with 1 splenda and a splash of 1% skimmed milk. All of which I'm allowed to have. The only thing I can think of is my tummy didn't agree with tea. I haven't touched tea or coffee since the beginning of March. So I think I will be avoiding tea from now on. Almost three hours later and the pain is starting to go away.

It sounds like possible lactose intolerance from what I have read about lactose intolerance.

Oh man I hope not :-( I've been having milk and some cheese since I've been home and I'm 10 days out. Creamed soups with milk everyday. Thanks Lou, ill keep that in mind and email my dietician in the am to see what she says as well.

First food strawberrybanans yogurt

Yesterday I had 1/4 cup of yogurt for breakfast and was soooo happy lol. This morning I ate half that much and feel stuffed. Wierd.

I took tiny bites and spent 15 minutes eating one ounce of light & fit Greek yogurt. I feel like a just ate a huge meal.

I'm still on liquids and last night warmed up about a cup and a half of broth and I don't know if I drank it too quick or what, but I drank half and felt full like I overstuffed myself at a buffet.

I am on liquids until 2 weeks post op too. However my "liquid" list includes yogurt and sf pudding.

Yesterday I ate a little yogurt and 2 protein shakes. So I did get 65g protein but I definitely didn't get my 64oz water. I need to get on a schedule.

I am one week post op and made a boo boo. I tried a bite of garlic bread and got plugged really bad. I took 2 small sips of soda to loosen it and that worked but I'm still feeling really full and bubbly. Won't try that again.

The husband had fresh rolls with his dinner at the hotel last night i did not even blink twice at them. Just don't beat yourself up for doing it but i would not make it a habit.

People say papaya enzymes work great for getting things unstuck. I think you can get em at the drug store.

Well besides my little whoops earlier I had my one week post op visit with the surgeon and I'm down 5 lbs since surgery and finally under 300 lbs!!!! Got a question for everyone though, I am going to take a stool softener tablet actually you are suppose to take 2-4 of them at a time, so do I need to crush them since I'm still crushing my other meds right now??

My doctor didn't have me crush anything, so I think if you're ok swallowing food you should be ok with the pills. Just remember to take SMALL sips of water!

Sigh, I'm 15 days out and I haven't lost anything in 5 days. What the heck? Is that normal?

I think it's normal at first. I've only lost 5 lbs. since surgery and I've been on clear liquids. How did I not lose more than that?? I think it's just our bodies adjusting to the dietary changes. It'll kick in just hang in there!! :-)

I gained two that I had lost and haven't moved from there. At least you're not moving up! I bet after the little stall you'll have a bigger loss.

I hope so. I've only lost 12 since surgery. It seems like a lot...but not when you consider what I've been able to eat...which is like..nothing lol
