April Dates

Is it too early to start an April thread? I didn't see one yet.

I'm scheduled for April 22. I still have to finish PCP clearance and psych then insurance approval but don't anticipate any problems. Once I started my appointments the excitement and anxiety kicked in. I started 6 month supervised diet in August....this used to seem so far away and like a vague idea but its so real now. My anxiety is double as my husband's date is march 18 and I worry a lot more about him than myself. How are all the other April folks doing?

Oh my gosh that's awesome!! Where are you located?

Austin, TX! How about you?

I am in North Branch, MN. Super cold here right now!

Well my pcp gave me some antibiotics but advised me to not take them until after the endoscopy. My surgeons office said it wad fine to take it but they sounded busy and I'm not sure I trust the receptionists opinion because she did not ask any one. I think I will wait because my pcp said it could mess with the results for the h pylori testing. I asked the testing place if it's ok to still do the endoscopy while being sick and they just said to ask my doctor. So in the end I guess it's ok and we will see how it goes Thursday.

Good luck! :)

I got Pre-registered at the hospital today and paid my $1,200 co-pay (ouch!) they said everything is a go for April 8th. I managed to start back on my exercise routine today too....I had been slacking. The Celebrate vitamins I ordered came today. I got the chewable multi, calcium, and iron. I already have some sub-lingual b-12 from my PCP. I also got my tubs of Syntrax Nectar protein powder for the 2-week clear liquid stage post-op--fuzzy navel and twisted cherry flavors. getting everything ready makes me less anxious.

My copay is $600 but my total out of pocket for the year is $3100. I'm guessing I will have to pay my total out of pocket.

I woke up this morning sick as a dog. I think it is maybe an upper respiratory infection. I'm going to the doctor this afternoon. Do you guys think I will have to push back my endoscopy that's two days from now? I hope this does not effect my surgery date 3 weeks from now...

Just got a call from the hospital pre-admissions... I am all set to go for April 3! My deductibles have already been met! I am going for blood work on Thursday .. All I have to do now is show up! I'm still scared...really scared... But i'm ready to take this leap of faith.

Congrats!! Dont be scared, just think of the outcome! YAY for you!

I got it! I got it! It's APRIL 8th, at 7:15am. YAY!! I can't believe it. I finally got my date!

Congrats to you!! I will be here before you know it!! :D

Good luck! Hope you are feeling better soon! I was thinking that being so close to surgery is too good to be true. I will probably get sick or something on the day and they will cancel it! Would be my luck!! LOL!

OUCH is right!! I dont have to pay anything up front, just set up a payment plan. At least this is what the nurse told me, I guess I better make sure at my appt on the 27th. ^_^ It does feel good to be getting ready huh? I only need a food scale, (do I REALLY need?), and some new flip flops for the hospital! (i hate slippers)
