Is it too early to start an April thread? I didn't see one yet.

I'm scheduled for April 22. I still have to finish PCP clearance and psych then insurance approval but don't anticipate any problems. Once I started my appointments the excitement and anxiety kicked in. I started 6 month supervised diet in August....this used to seem so far away and like a vague idea but its so real now. My anxiety is double as my husband's date is march 18 and I worry a lot more about him than myself. How are all the other April folks doing?

Hi. Please remove me from the April list. They've decided to just remove the band on Saturday, have a good look and reschedule surgery for three months down the track which can hopefully be keyhole and not open as planned.

Quite disappointed I won't be leaving the hospital with the bypass done but I suppose it's better to be safe than sorry.

Did anyone have to use a special soap the nigh before surgery?

yes I.Do.it's a wash.I have to use it the night before and the morning of.

Juliz doing good, broth is great I make my own. The surgery said it took 3 attempts to get the pouch. My stomach was nearly gone. So that's why 5.5 hours.

Just an update.... Not sure how anyone posted stuff the same day as surgery! I was so out of it I could barely keep my eyes open all day. Otherwise I'm doing ok. Had a tiny bit of jello and quite a bit of water. I'm falling asleep Again so I guess ills write more later

Glad your doing ok. I'm wired after surgery so i don't sleep much after. Never have so enjoy your rest.

Wow we are twins!!! I too have to be at the hospital for 9:30 and surgery scheduled for 11:30. I'm nervous as well and like you I know this is what I need for ME. MY GOAL THIS YEAR WAS TO FOCUS ON ME ASK THE WAY AROUND. Sorry didn't mean to yell that part. So I think this is one of the steps that will help in this process. Pirates and best wishes to you.
