March Surgery Dates

I've seen topics where members having surgery in the same month have kinda banded together to offer support and encouragement to one another. I think this is a wonderful idea, and I'd like to see if there's anyone having surgery in March that would like to support one another.

I have a tentative date for the second or third week in March. I have UHC through Georgia Pacific and they use BRS for approvals. I don't expect any delays, nor does my surgeon's office, so she saved me a spot, so to speak, lol.

Tonight I have my psyc eval, and Monday is my information class, I have two more visits, 2/5 and 3/5 of my six month supervised diet, and on March 5th when I leave my PCP's office, I'll take my worksheet to the surgeon and we'll submit to insurance. That's where I'm at!

I'd love to talk with others that are looking at the same time frame as me!! :D

The day is finally here I have this warm fuzzy feeling and I can't wait to be on the losing side. I'm praying for all the other marchers going in today. I'm praying for our surgeons and nurses to be on their games today and bring us all out with as less pain as possible.

I appreciate all the well wishes! See you all on the other side!! ;)

Had my surgery yesterday. I had four incisions and two of the hurt really, really bad. The morphine hasn't touched it. I got very nauseated when I got up to walk for the first time yesterday. I made it 100 feet the first time to get the catheter out. I walked two more times - 350 and 700 feet. I am on clear liquids today. One oz every 15 minutes. It goes by FAST! I had an iron infusion last night and will have two more today. Should go home tomorrow around noon.

Yes that's the one.

WOW, fentanyl patches are very strong, I am so surprised they put you on that. It seems like an awful lot of medication. Healing prayers sent your way!!

Intravenous iron. My body does not absorb iron and I am very, very low.
