  3. I definitely have gas... But it's been coming out, my poor husband!!.. Lol... It's really a concentrated smell!!.. Gas pain was the thing I feared the most after surgery, I heard do much about it. I told my husband I'm letting it out every chance I have because I don't want to suffer... But like I said, my POOR husband.. Lol
  4. Yeah I'm still taking naps!! I get very tired. This is my second day not taking the pain meds. I'm doing well without them. I did take it before bed though because I feel it more when I lay down. I haven't been getting nauseas, which is good.
  5. U should make sure u have whey isolate... It's good quality protein and its more gentle on your stomach, especially if your lactose intolerant!!
  6. I'm only 5 days post op, BUT I have found a protein drink that I love!! It is chocolate protein powder with 2 tablespoons of peanut butter blend in blender!!! It's the BEST!!.. The protein was unjury, I don't know how it tastes without the peanut butter, but it sure tastes good with it
  7. My pain wasn't bad at all!! Everyone is different.. Everyone's surgery is different. I did keep up on the pain meds for the first day, I slept a lot. The second day I didn't want to take to many meds, and what happened was I wasn't taking deep enough breaths because I was in pain, so my oxygen levels were going to low. So I took more pain meds and it helped. I started taking 1/2 the dose because the full dose was knocking me out!! It's been 5 days since surgery and have not taken pain meds for 2 days. I truly don't need them... Has been an awesome experience
  8. I think it's because when your overweight, your always trying to squeeze into a size smaller than what we are... So when we lose it takes longer to get to that smaller size!!
  9. I just had pintos and cheese from Taco Bell... My sis had gastric bypass and suggested it to me.. I did well with it, I added some mild taco sauce and it made it better... I did have it will the small amount of cheese they put on it, maybe next time ill get it without cheese. Extra calories and fat I don't need.. But it has 9 gms of protein
  10. Hi!!.. I had surgery on Monday as well!!.. I have been doing very well!!.. Pain level hasn't been bad, I've been taking half the dose. I can walk without a problem except I get tired easily and some nausea... How has it been for u?
  11. Hello everyone!! I had my surgery yesterday at about 8:30 am... Everything went wonderful!! I was so surprised that I wasn't scared or nervous!! I have hardly any pain, it's amazing. I haven't walked around today yet, but yesterday I walked around 3 different time 5 laps each. No problems except for some nausea while walking. I've had a headache since yesterday morning that won't go away!! They said its probably from lack of caffeine. They are starting me on some clear liquids today, hopefully that will go well.. Fingers crossed
