I've seen topics where members having surgery in the same month have kinda banded together to offer support and encouragement to one another. I think this is a wonderful idea, and I'd like to see if there's anyone having surgery in March that would like to support one another.

I have a tentative date for the second or third week in March. I have UHC through Georgia Pacific and they use BRS for approvals. I don't expect any delays, nor does my surgeon's office, so she saved me a spot, so to speak, lol.

Tonight I have my psyc eval, and Monday is my information class, I have two more visits, 2/5 and 3/5 of my six month supervised diet, and on March 5th when I leave my PCP's office, I'll take my worksheet to the surgeon and we'll submit to insurance. That's where I'm at!

I'd love to talk with others that are looking at the same time frame as me!!

Lol I will try!! My preop is at 11...what time is ur surgery?

4 days post op and I'm "almost" 100% ok. My tummy is a little sore 1/2 from surgery and 1/2 from my period. Slept with a heating pad last night and it improved things tremendously.

I'm not taking liquid vicodine like most. That made me sick to my stomach so they gave my tablets of Nophen. I've been taking 2 but starting today I'm bring it down to one.

My incissions are looking awesome. I get my staples out on Thursday.

The only thing I can't do is twist my body because I'll feel it in my stomach... Like a tight soreness. But only if I do this.

How's everyone else doing ??

Sooo... Just sitting here waiting... Was suppose to have surgery at 11am but its been changed to 12:40... And I'm soo hungry/thirsty. I could so go for a chocolate Optifast shake right now... :s

Today is 6 day post OP for me and I feel horrible. I was fine and when I got home I had bad reaction to pain patch they gave me and ended up in er twice in one day. And now I'm having severe anxiety issues. Can't sleep. Hope the doc can help me tomorrow.

Oh wow... They sent you home with a pain patch. I wonder what medication it was. I would have loved a pain patch instead of pills. Sorry to hear it made you sick.

It was a three day pain patch. And it was taken off of me on Saturday morning and it still isn't out of my system.

I work at a nurseing home they use that on are hospice residents they are the same when they are on it

I just spoke to Hospital registration, I have to be there are 9:45A in the morning. YIPPIE! I'm so excited. My challenge right now is I have to have clear liquids all day today until midnight. I have a headache and my stomach is growling and the veggie broth I have is disgusting. Other than that Yippie!!!

Yup.. Surg is done. Just lying here gas is not fun. Walked around a bit.

Hello everyone!! I had my surgery yesterday at about 8:30 am... Everything went wonderful!! I was so surprised that I wasn't scared or nervous!! I have hardly any pain, it's amazing. I haven't walked around today yet, but yesterday I walked around 3 different time 5 laps each. No problems except for some nausea while walking. I've had a headache since yesterday morning that won't go away!! They said its probably from lack of caffeine. They are starting me on some clear liquids today, hopefully that will go well.. Fingers crossed
