Ok everyone since we are getting close to December I figured I would go ahead and start us up a post op thread

Very depressed right now. Thinking I made the wrong decision. I can't eat anything. Not even a tiny sip of soup. Can only take tiny sips of water and that gives me heartburn. I just want to be normal again.

I hope you're talking to your Dr. ..what the heck? I used to have lots if trouble with acid reflux and heital hernia but not since surgery...they need to do something for you....I'm sure right now it feels like you made a mistake but once you're feeling better you will be happy...

probably just out did myself walking. had to walk almost a mile out in this cold shit to get to my insurance company. don't wanna be an inconvenience to anyone

Talking to his office but he is out for the holiday. They have called me in thay carafate stuff. I can tolerate small sips of water but that's it. If the Rx doesn't help they want me to go to the ER. I would really like to wait until after New Years since no one can do an EGD till then anyway. Told me to stop my vitamins since I throw them up anyways.

They would most likely want to start iv fluids tho so you don't get too dehydrated...

When drinking the sugar free packets in my water i can only use 1/2 a package. More than that is too much and I don't feel well. I had hiatal hernia as well before surgery, bad reflux, but Dr said that the Hiatal hernia is always fixed by this surgery.

I haven't had to take my reflux med since. If I use full packets of the drink mix, I probably would have too.

I don't put anything in my water. I have never liked flavored water.

We have been so worried about you. I pray you feel better soon, the pic line will help with not so many pokes for iv's and blood tests. You will be glad after they put it in. I hope they figure out what is wrong and get you back on track really soon. We have all been thinking about you and praying for you.
