Hello I am about 7mos post op RNY and I am sick. This sucks ass so bad because I am supposed to jog my first 5k on Thursday. I have a sore throat, runny/stuffy nose and a cough. My lungs hurt. Probably flu. What kind of medicine can I take?

I got the mucinex cold/flu/multisymptom. It has Tylenol in it. It is working pretty well. Just an fyi.

glad to here, i swear by musinex, but i am pre op. But I really think it is a miracle drug when you have a chest cold. I have asthma and a bad cold can turn into pneumonia on me in nothing flat, at first sign I start drinking the musinex or robitussin plain (that is what is in the musinex). I have even used those crystals for little kids. They probably have to much sugar. But if what you are taking is working it is good to know. Can't believe I just wrote a book on Musinex
