Could it be that my period is coming anytime now?

Time of the month will make you gain a lil. Maybe too much sodium? That can make you gain water weight.

Yes period cause bloated & that puts weight on you.

Are you getting in enough calories, Water, sleep and Vitamins?? Without enough calories your body will fight to keep you from losing and I have found I gain weight as well. The others also impact weight loss and weight gain. I tend to find that I gain and lose on a fairly regular basis, so do not worry too much, soon it will drop as long as you are doing all the things I listed including exercise often and enough Protein. You do not want your body going into starvation mode, that is not a good thing and makes things harder for you.

At 2 weeks though calories is so much not a big issue, how about water intake? yes and your period can impact your weight, as well as your body is still recovering from surgery and will be fighting everything for a bit. Do not worry it will come off... look forward to a lot of this up and down thing, I have just come to accept it as part of the journey and try not to let it drive me crazy.

Good luck

Dnt worry it probably is Water retention or looming period :/ I was 217 thursday started my period this weekend now showing 219! It sucks but dnt stress it will come down again ;)

Not uncommon at all to have a weight gain - especially so close to your surgery date. Focus on following the protocol, stay active, and stay away from the scales for at least a week and two would be better. Try to relax and let you body find its own way in its own time. Trust the process. There is no question that it works. You're gonna love the new you!!

Thank you everyone!!! I guess Im just stuck in this negative thinking mode...that of course this wont work... Nothing ever works for me...etc. etc. etc.

Time to snap out of that already!!!!!! I will trust the process! And I do need to keep working on getting my water in...nobody's told me how many calories Im supposed to get in tho ( I will also have someone in this house hide that darn scale so I can only weigh myself once a week! )

I never could do that (hide my scale and weigh in once a week only)... I am a scale addict and still weigh myself twice a day and to be honest it is more of a motivator rather than not. Even on the days and weeks I am not losing I find it motivating to keep trying so it works for me. But if you find it so depressing you dread getting on, then for sure hide it. So each of us is different. My advice in reference to all the advice you get on these boards is to use your own discretion (and your doctors) to determine how it would work best for you. It won't hurt you to weigh in once a week nor will it hurt you to weigh in daily, you just have to decide what works best for you. I would be miserable not being able to weigh in, since it is what keeps me going, but you might be different. Oh well enough rambling LOL

I just dont know yet what is best for me...we will see

Trust me I am not trying to advise you either way! I know many who refuse to weigh in but every couple weeks and they love the excitement of seeing such big drops at a time, I like to see it when it is dropping daily, it is just a matter of what works for you. So you just do what feels best and works best for you!

Ellie... Dave is always preaching about staying away from the dang scale... ha!! I know I am a scale addict and have admitted to it more times then I can count. Been noticing your weight loss... cant believe you dropped to the 180's so fast... dang girl seems like you just hit onederland!!
