  • Thanks JustJen!

  • The only reason I do the protein shakes is because I really don't think I can actually physically eat enough food in one day to meet my suggested protein needs.

I'm only 15 days post op and am just starting on some real food, so I am only supposed to do protein drinks in order to get my all my protein in. Pre op, I was a shake-drinking fool. Post op, I'm having a difficult time getting them down. Honestly, I haven't been able to get in two a day. Some days I can't even get one in.

My surgeon was okay with it having coffee as long as I doubled the amount I drank with Water. So I atkins mocha and more water.... I'm good :)

Jay robb whey Protein shakes are awesome! No after taste and not gritty at all. The vanilla if u add 1 tsp of vanilla extract tastes just like ice cream. Especially if u out it in the freezer for 30 min!

That's a nice tip. I use Whey too and I love it. Make it with skim milk: 38 grams of protein

This is what I drink twice a day. 8oz gives me 44g of protein... It's good and no chalky after taste. Got it at GNC. This is what was recommended to me when I let them know I had surgery. I didn't do protein shakes after surgery cause it just felt too thick and I'd gag but since I returned to it 2x a day I been losing like crazy!!

Can't really see picture, can you please tell me the brand? Thanks. I can't eat enough to get all my protein in but haven't found one yet that doesn't make me dump.
