Dry Skin

Hi, Just wondering if anyone else has been experiencing dry skin following surgery ? it seems like no matter how much lotion

I put on, my skin still feels dry and I can see the white dry flakes. Does this have anything to do with little or no fat in our diet ?

I have that as well, but do not know the cause!

I was told that it is partially due to being slightly dehydrated.

surgery date: 7/30/12

I do not know about that only because I am getting 64 to 72 ounces of Fluid a day, unless that is not enough for me?

I really don't think I get enough Water in a day, I try, I do much better with chewing on ice. water just does not want to go down. So that would be interesting if my dry skin is due to that.

I used to have oily skim now is less oily.

I think it's a combination of hydration, being in the hospital and a very low fat diet. Mine seems to be getting better now that I can have a variety of foods in my diet.
