Head Hunger

I am 2 1/2 weeks post op. I started mush a few days ago but prefer full fluids right now. I am having incredible head hunger even though I know I couldn't possibly eat real food right now.

It's the power of suggestion. As I'm healing I'm watching my family eat meals or I'm watching tv with commercials or tv shows where people are eating. Everything looks good.

I hate it. I wish I could get over this head hunger when I know I'm not physically hungry.

Anyone else going through this?

Hey hun! I am a month out and can tell you that head hunger gets better! Try to stay away from tv.... That was bad for me!!! I craved it all. Or everytime a food commercial comes on, seitch channels. I know how bad it is, I craved all the stuff i never liked and eas always hungry! Today, I can tell you it's better to control it. Don't fall of our plan for meals every 2 hrs, anything else is ur mind playing tricks.

I'm 14 wks post op and yes it is strange the "head hunger" , I did not know what to call it - LOL I get the cravings but then I eat something healthy and what I am suppose to eat and it goes away. My taste has changed sooooo much. The things I use to love I can't stand any more. Now that I am slowly transitioning to regular food and adding something new to my food list it is so strange that my taste has really changed.
