I Am scheduled for gastric by pass surgery July 9th ..... I have not heard back from my insurance company as far as approval ..... I do know that they cover bariatric surgery.... Does anyone if there is a better chance of me being approved since they do cover this type of surgery ..... Really nervous

Did your surgeon's office confirm that they have submitted the paperwork to your insurance company? If so, I think there's a good chance that you could be approved in time to have the July 9th surgery. Even if they have to delay the surgery a little, there's a good chance that it won't be too long. It's nerve wracking but sounds like it will have a happy ending. You're gonna love the new you!!

I actually called today and they still haven't submitted anything due to a "reconstruction" of their insurance department they are still working on getting surgerys for July 2nd approved ..... And yes it very nerve wracking ..... I'm nervous excited scared just a ball of emotions

Just thought I'd update you girls.... My surgery was approved today ..... Went in and got my consent forms all signed and ready to go ...... Official surgery date is July 9
