Just Wanted To Say Hi!

Hi everyone! I just had the RNY gastric bypass on April 6th 2012 and just found this site. I thought I would pop in and introduce myself. My name is Erin, and would love to get to know some people who are going through the same thing I am. I have been doing pretty well so far, thank god! Scared to death something I eat may make me dump, so being super duper careful about everything right now. So far so good. I am on the puree stage week three, and its getting better now that I can chew a little...lol. Well, I hope everyone is doing well, and I could use any tips or tricks that can make the transition smoother. have a great day!

Hi Erin, my name is Christine. I had my surgery April 3rd. So we're about at the same place :). I'm getting bored with the purée phase but also sticking strictly to the diet. Mmmmm cottage cheese. :) I haven't had any issues with anything and hoping I never do. Just thought I'd chime in since we are at the same spot or close. Best wishes!

Hi Erin & Christine...My name is Tammy and l had my surgery on April 12, so I'm around the same time as both of you. One more week of liquids...can't wait to move on to the next stage...growing really tired of broth, protein shakes, jello, etc. I need to chew..lol. good luck on your journeys!

Hi Erin,

Welcome to the board. I won't have my surgery until July, so I'm still in my six months preop program. I envy you having your surgery already. Hope everything is going well.

Welcome Erin!!

Hey Erin! congrats on the surgery and good luck with each transition you make. My surgery will be in august...im so jealous of the people who have already gotten it. I want it now! LoL.

Hi Erin & Christine. I had surgery April 4, so I am right around the same place as well. I agree puree is getting boring, I have 1 more week of it. I am totally scared of dumping too, being very careful. I have been very lucky as well with no issues with food at all. Good luck!
