Have a cold and tomorrow is surgery!

Anyone have an issue with that? No fever or anything, just congestion. Sucks not being able to take a decongestant!

maybe you can do a neti pot? or a warm/hot salt Water gargle? Lots of steam from hot shower?

  • Get rid of the symptoms ASAP!!! The anesthesiologist may not let you have surgery! Do whatever you have to do!

Yeah...I can muster enough to get through it. Thanks for the suggestions!

My surgery is a week from today and I woke up today with some congestion and I was like "OH HECK NAW" and over dosed myself with Vitamins. I do feel better now but will keep an eye on anything developing.

By the way, for anyone who wants to know.. the berry flavor Bariatric Choice vitamins are gross.

Be careful. I started to feel a tickle in my throat & some sinus yuck the day before my surgery. Then after the surgery I almost ended up with pneumonia. Use that breathing thing they give you as often as possible & good luck. It's no fun coughing with a sore tummy. Antibiotics are a WONDERFUL thing!

Take zicam I took that the day before my surgery .

Cross your fingers that you wake up without it in the morning! My orignal surgery date was 8-23, and I started to feel a tickle in my throat on the way home from my pre-op stuff at the hospital, two days before surgery. By Thursday though, it was obvious that I was too sick. I had to reschedule my surgery.

They did tell me though that they will usually do surgery on someone with a cold/allergies, as long as there is no fever and it hasn't lodged in your chest.

Good luck to you tomorrow.
