What should I do with leftover cookie batter?

Recommended Posts

About once a month I make a meal for a family in our church (just had a baby, death in the family, etc). I luv doing it cuz I actually get to cook a whole meal (hubby is a low carber so he's no fun to cook for). So I'm making cheese tortellini, salad, garlic bread, and choc chip Cookies. I bought the tub of Nestle Tollhouse batter cuz I'm much too lazy to make it from scratch!

I just made 2 dozen and have about half the batter left. Should I make the rest and send them lotso Cookies, try and freeze the rest (not sure you can freeze cookie dough) or what? I've already eaten 2 spoonfuls (they went and stayed down fine :( ) so I really don't want access to it. Or should I just toss it (hate wasting food)

What would YOU do?

make the rest of the batch and either send the with the rest or make your neighbors really happy!

Get it out of the house. You know how easy it will be for it to vanish one spoonful at a time.

I would say bake up the rest and take them in to church with you. That gets it out of your house, you don't feel like you have wasted money and your fellow parishioners will certainly love the little treat.

I'd throw it away. Or put it in the freezer for a later date. I do know that my head would be nagging me to make that batter and eat those Cookies. That's a fight I would never win. So I just don't buy it or I throw it away. :P

Send to me as is. I always loved cookie dough way more than actual Cookies.

Amen to that brother!

And when you eat the dough it doesn't count the same as eating 1, 2 or 3 Cookies because that dough you shoved in your mouth? You say to yourself "no way could of been one whole cookie" :P

THROW IT AWAY!!! :D

Is this a trick question????

As far as "tossing" it..............

Let's just keep calm here and be cool. Deep breath.......don't want to do anything too hasty.

I would bake all of them and take them to the really skinny next door neighbor...but then again I'm having a bad day :P

Cookies...to this day...are my downfall.

I say bake 'em and take 'em to church. Someone will surely eat them...and it won't be you!

And I have a really SKINNY next door neighbor. I think she's actually anorexic!

I actually made the rest and the family I'm making the meal for will have lots of Cookies - 5 dozen to be exact! Fit into 2 gallon ziplocs! Now to get them to last until 6 pm when I deliver them :)

Make it and take it...anywhere else but your frig! Wayyyyyy too tempting! Don't put yourself through the stress of having the Cookies call out to you in the middle of the night only to find yourself sitting at your kitchen counter with a milk mustache and an empty plate filled with cookies crumbs!!! ;-)

Throw it away and throw it away now....

And mix something nasty into it like cat litter so you don't go digging for it.

Do NOT collect $200, go directly to the trash can!!!

It's a shame we have to do that but yes....for cookie dough....one can't be too careful.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
